What happens, and where it lives.

Nothing to configure, no permission to grant. The microphone is asked for once, and only if you press Dictate. Needs macOS 26 or later, because dictation is transcribed by the on-device speech model rather than sent anywhere.

    Drag it across

    The disk image opens with the app and an Applications folder. Drag one onto the other.

    It welcomes you once

    First open, it says where it lives and offers to start with your Mac. Then it gets out of the way.

    One click, or one chord

    Click the mark in the menu bar, or press the shortcut, and the panel opens over whatever you are in.

The panel carries the same engine the site does: every model in the picker, grouped by chat, image and video, and your own project context when you want it. On Max, pick an image or video model and paste reference images straight into the prompt; the rewrite reads them. Return rewrites, Shift Command C copies, Escape closes.
